James Brayshaw

 

Broadcaster/Sports Journalist/ Commentator/ Host

James Brayshaw is one of Australia's key sporting media personalities with an impressive career in television, radio and journalism.

James is best known as co-host with Garry Lyon on Channel Nine's The Footy Show, the number one AFL program in Australia.

A long-time audience favorite on radio, James in 2010 took the reins as host of Triple M’s weekday Drive show The Rush Hour with Billy Brownless, and is also host of the Sunday Footy Show, leads the AFL commentary team for Triple M Melbourne and is a member of the Nine Network's Cricket commentary team.

Despite his demanding media commitments, James is also Chairman of the North Melbourne Football Club and Melbourne Renegades and maintains a strong involvement in a range of corporate and charity activities as host or MC.

Professional Sports Career

Chairman of North Melbourne Football Club (since 2007) and the Melbourne Renegades Twenty20 team (since 2011).  75 first class cricket games for WA (1987-90) and SA (1990-97). Played in Lancashire league in England in 1989.  Twice part of winning Sheffield Shield teams.  Batsman, with a career 4934 runs at an average of 42.53 with 10 centuries.  Retired 1996-97.
