THE GOOD SHEPHERD'S CIRCUS PIE CLASSIC

~ A ROCK N ROLL COOK OFF FOR CHARITY ~

Musicians are renowned for struggling to put food on their own tables, so when a bunch of them donate their time to a charity
cook-off event raising money for the disadvantaged, you know it's something special!

The second annual The Good Shepherd's Circus Pie Classic hits the stage of The Corner Hotel, Melbourne on Sunday 4th May.
It's a unique raucous rock'n'roll cook-off where a star studded host of celebrities will hit the hot plates to create culinary delights and have the odd food-fight to raise funds for Melbourne's Good Shepherd Youth And Family Service. Providing equality, dignity and security for kids and families who have had a rough trot in life, The Good Shepherd's core focus is to foster skills
for people to help themselves.

Think Iron Chef meets Rock Wiz and you have a snapshot of what The Good Shepherd's Circus Pie Classic is all about : musicians, comedians, and media personalities getting out of their comfort zone and into the hot seat where they will prepare an array of tasty morsels live on stage for expert auspicious judges.

Competing in teams, witness the gastronomic prowess of Chefs Adam Rozenbachs (comedian), Ally Spazzy (The Spazzys), Jon Chapple (Shooting At Unarmed Men), Cameron Potts (Baseball/Ninety-Nine), Willy Zygier, Deborah Conway, Kim Salmon (Scientists/The Surrealists), Emma Race, Phil Kakulas (Black Eyed Susans) and Rebecca Barnard (solo and ex-Rebecca's Empire), battling it out for culinary supremacy as judged by expert food critic John Lethlean, Pearl's Adam D'Sylva, and media personality Tracee Hutchison. MCs Clem Bastow and Angus Sampson will oversee the mayhem.
It's a melting pot of musical chaos, all in the name of a good cause.

The fury of the cook-off will be driven by a specially selected caste of house bands. See Melbourne's favourite party band, Dynamo, alt-country rockers Downhills Home, a rare performance by rock gods Hoss, an even rarer showing from The Blackeyed Susans, PLUS the titillating The Town Bikes!

Secret ingredients, food cam, raffle prizes, it's a melting pot of musical chaos, all in the name of a good cause.

The Good Shepherd's 2008 Circus Pie Classic is proudly supported by Beat, InPress, 3RRR and 3PBS, with additional support from The Corner Hotel, Mannys, McCormick, DPA, Rockposters, The Downie Breitkreuz Group, Lance Rock Publicity, Crumpler, Pink Noise, Melbourne Food and Wine Festival, Three One Two, Annabel Trends and Dangerfield.
