Dave O'Neil plays Guest Detective in ABC's new hit show Sleuth 101 premiering this Fri 12th Feb!

Armchair detectives get ready....murder is about to get a makeover!

Hosted by the effervescent Cal Wilson, each week Cal is joined by a special guest comedian, who is given a crash course in criminology.  Signing up to test their detective skills are Dave O'Neil, Frank Woodley, Hamish Blake, Julia Morris, Adam Richard, Peter Rowsthorn, Claire Hooper and Colin Lane.  Their task, to solve a murder in front of a live studio audience, but what sort of detective will they be? With styles and techniques that will test even the most hardened criminal, our guest detectives have no script, they rely on witness interviews, footage flashbacks, forensic evidence and their own observations.

This week, to mark the premiere episode of this latest hit show for ABC, Dave O'Neil plays the guest detective, as John Wood, playing Bill Quinn, a family man who is hated by his family (and with good reason), gets killed on Christmas Day, smothered by the stomach padding of his Santa suit. Also stars Robyn Butler, Denise Drysdale, Nicola Parry and Dave Lawson.

Rounding out each episode and in homage to the classic murder mysteries, the suspects all return to the scene of the crime, where our novice detective will make their accusation, but will they be right?

Sleuth 101 premieres on ABC1 This Friday 12th February at 8pm.
